    AN ARTISTS AFFAIR
    'Magic of the Muse'

    For your artistic pleasure, AN ARTISTS AFFAIR 'Magic of the Muse' will be a wonderful two day event for those with a passion for drawing the human form.

    Another magnificent weekend is underway, a beautifully array of life drawing models will present for you over a two day art weekend.

    AN ARTISTS AFFAIR 'Magic of the Muse' will celebrate the uniqueness and differences of each individual model.  The expression of curves and lines, twists and tilts, light and shade - will be presented to you in each unique beautiful body.

    Eight life drawing models - semi clothed and nude - will grace us with their presence, and inspire every artist in their own unique way.

    Set amongst a theatrical setting to create a beautiful and lyrical atmosphere.
     
    Immerse yourself!

    Two glorious days to indulge in the delights of painting, drawing or sketching. This opulent weekend promises to be insightful delightful, auspicious and delicious!
    Humbling humorous, friendly and fun!

    WHEN:  Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2019
    TIME:  Saturday, 10am-4pm & Sunday 10am-3pm
    FOOD: Delicious vegan food, tea, coffee and snacks are provided throughout the weekend.
     
    WHAT TO BRING:
    Doors open 30 minutes prior.

    Your own materials - paints, paper/canvas etc.  If you want to bring your own easel, please let me know.  You can bring a table easel.

  • Nowhere in my thirty years travelling in visual arts workshops have I experienced something even half as wonderful as “An Artist’s Affair”. Katherine brings to these experiences her profound love of the delicious, the lovely and the lightness of being. Interspersed with live music and dance, soul food from the kitchen, and from the hearts of all the duets she arranges with her models. In this blessed atmosphere I could produce some of my best spontaneous art and slam poetry. Thank you for the magic.

  • Thank you Kathy for organising 'An Artists' Affair - Winter is Warm'. Even though I hadn't drawn for a while and was out of practice, I had a blast.

    I loved the heart space the event was in, with everyone attending and assisting being so lovely. The intimacy of the old community hall encouraged the encompassing community feel.the event had.

    Your approach to the warm up gesture drawings was novel and less concern about getting drawings right, and and more about being present, and just making spontaneous loose marks that ended up being a drawing.

    The models were very professional and worked well either singly or together..

    Having the two tableaux functioning simultaneously allowed artists to relocate, or remain stationary as the models rotated between the tableaux.

    Also, please pass on my appreciation to the people that prepared and served the delicious food through the day.

    Thank you once again for a most enjoyable event.
